About Me

I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients as they navigate their greatest joys, deepest challenges, and everything in between.

Much of my work has been rooted in community mental health, including roles in schools, non-profit mental health clinics, and within higher education settings—both at the university and graduate levels. These experiences have shaped my approach and deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered care.

As a cisgender, heterosexual Black woman, I understand that while some parts of my identity come with privilege, others come with vulnerabilities. The harm caused by racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and other fear-based beliefs is still very present. Those who came before me made a path that I am humbled to follow.  I acknowledge that there is lingering stigma around the topic of mental health and therapy in many communities. While the stigma is often rooted in a history of needing to protect ourselves, it is so encouraging to see more Black and Brown people choosing therapy, disrupting harmful generational patterns of trauma, and investing in their peace, self-worth, and healthier relationships.
